Morpeth Arms, Millbank

We recently had the privilege of working on one of the most haunted pubs in London; The Morpeth Arms which sits on what used to be the Millbank penitentiary. If you venture down to the cellar you’ll find the existing prison cells where many prisoners would be held before being shipped off to Van Diemen’s Land. Whilst this is not he happiest of histories to learn about it gave us plenty of narrative to play with when it came to sourcing and creating artworks. We sourced some beautiful portraits of prisoners dating back to the 1800s from the Tyne & Ware Museum, their faces tell a million stories. As for the pub itself I think its safe to say we have resurrected it from the dead.
